Upvy is a learning platform where users grow together. To create a safe and positive environment, please follow these community guidelines when creating and sharing content.

Content Guidelines

We welcome content that:

  • Offers constructive feedback and discussions

  • Inspires and motivates others
  • Respects copyright and intellectual property

❌ Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited:

Violence & Harm:

  • Content that promotes or glorifies violence
  • Self-harm or suicide-related content
  • Dangerous challenges or stunts that could cause injury

Hate Speech & Discrimination:

  • Content that attacks individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality
  • Slurs, derogatory language, or discriminatory remarks

Sexual Content:

  • Sexually explicit content or nudity
  • Content that sexualizes minors
  • Sexual harassment or unwanted advances

Illegal Activities:

  • Content promoting illegal drugs or controlled substances
  • Instructions for illegal activities
  • Sale of regulated goods (weapons, alcohol, tobacco)

Misinformation:

  • Deliberately false or misleading information
  • Medical misinformation that could cause harm
  • Content manipulated to deceive (deepfakes without disclosure)

Harassment & Bullying:

  • Targeted harassment of individuals
  • Cyberbullying or intimidation
  • Doxxing (sharing private information without consent)

Spam & Scams:

  • Repetitive, irrelevant content
  • Pyramid schemes or get-rich-quick scams
  • Phishing attempts or malicious links

Copyright Infringement:

  • Content that violates others’ intellectual property rights
  • Unauthorized use of copyrighted material
  • Impersonation of others

Community Behavior

Be Respectful

  • Engage in constructive discussions
  • Disagree politely and professionally
  • Value different opinions and perspectives
  • Give credit to original creators

Be Authentic

  • Share genuine experiences and knowledge
  • Disclose sponsored content or partnerships
  • Don’t mislead others with fake accounts or credentials

Be Responsible

  • Think before you post
  • Consider the impact of your content on others
  • Report violations when you see them
  • Protect your privacy and others'

Reporting & Enforcement

How to Report

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines:

  1. In-App Reporting

    • Tap the “β‹―” menu on any content
    • Select “Report”
    • Choose the violation type
    • Provide additional details (optional)

  2. Moderation Review

    • Reports are reviewed within 24-48 hours
    • Automated systems may take immediate action for severe violations
    • You’ll receive updates on your report

  3. Appeals

    • If your content was removed, you can appeal the decision
    • Go to Settings > Help & Support > Appeal Content Removal
    • Explain why you believe the content doesn’t violate guidelines

Enforcement Actions

Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, we may take the following actions:

First Violation (Minor):

  • Warning notification
  • Content removal
  • Educational resources

Repeat Violations (Moderate):

  • Temporary account suspension (3-7 days)
  • Content creation restrictions
  • Comment restrictions

Severe Violations:

  • Permanent account ban
  • Device ban for extreme cases
  • Report to law enforcement if illegal activity is involved

User Safety Tools

Protect yourself with these features:

  • Block Users: Prevent specific users from interacting with you
  • Content Filters: Customize what content you see
  • Comment Controls: Control who can comment on your content
  • Privacy Settings: Manage who can see your profile and content

Minors’ Safety

Upvy is committed to protecting minors:

  • Users must be 14 years or older
  • No content featuring minors in dangerous situations
  • No content that sexualizes or exploits minors
  • Parents/guardians can report concerns to support

Mental Health

We care about your well-being:

  • If you’re struggling, reach out to mental health resources
  • Report content that promotes self-harm or suicide
